The History of New Dorp: Celebrating Three & a Half Centuries of History is a Documentary featurette exploring the storied 350 years of history of one of the oldest standing neighborhoods in New York City. The documentary explores a timeline including European settlements, the Revolutionary War, World War II hospitals, up to the modern day. We spoke with historians, business owners, and community leaders to get their unique perspectives on the history and growth of the New Dorp community. This documentary also includes historical images and an exploration into the family instrumental in the St. George Theatre restoration project.
The New Dorp Lane District and the SIEDC came to us to create a documentary that looks back at the history of one of the longest-standing neighborhoods on Staten Island. Production included multiple locations and interviews with 8 community members. Also included is coverage of the 350th anniversary celebration, during New Dorp Lane’s annual food crawl.
